Sabina's History

Sabina Hidalgo is a singer and dancer who was born on September 20th, 1999, in Guadalajara. She's currently part of the global pop group Now United, representing her country, Mexico. Since childhood she was interested in music and mainly in dance, despite being bullied during the school season, she remains steadfast in her passions today!

Sabina has two sisters, one older named Fernanda, one younger named Luna and her parents named Fernando and Ale. She has lived in two different locations besides Jalisco, being them in California and also in Spain. The Mexican made an exchange for the American state in 2016, and in 2018 she lived with her current boyfriend in the European country.

Before joining Now United, Sabina started dating the player Pepe Gonzalez, they met during a football match and have been together for more than three years. Currently, they are waiting for a baby and live together in Mexico with a dog called Shelby!

Sabina's Career

In 2017, Sabina signed up for the global pop group Now United auditions. She sent two videos, one singing and one dancing. As a result, she was selected for the bootcamp with other teenagers in Los Angeles. When she got there, she found out that there were more competitors from Mexico, including Joalin Loukamaa that ended up being in the group with her. During the Bootcamp she rehearsed with the choreographers Kyle Hanagami and Will da Beast! At the end of the bootcamp, they performed the choreography of “Summer In The City”, the first song of the group and Sabina had the first chance to sing in a song.

In 2018, Now United did a world tour, in which Ale, Sabina’s mom, spent the trip with her daughter until the group arrived in Mexico! There, they shot the music video of “Who Would Think That Love” in a typical city, in which Sabina also had the chance to sing in the second verse of the song. During the music video, she carried the Mexico flag while running and it became a very memorable and meaningful scene for her fans.

The group came to Brazil several times due to their fame in the country. In addition, at the end of 2019, they prepared a tour that went through four Brazilian cities, and it was a very important moment for Sabina, since during the shows she was able to perform her first song with bigger highlight, “Na Na Na”. The song had the music video recorded at the Theatro Municipal in Rio De Janeiro and is currently their fastest music video to reach 100 million views on Youtube. In 2020, during the pandemic, Now United released the Spanish version of the song, which is Sabina’s favorite but wasn’t as successful as the first version.
Nowadays, she gets more and more space in the group, singing and dancing in choreographies.
